Lyssna till en radiointervju gjord på Sandhammarens fyr 1948 från "SR Minnen".

"Nils Linnman och Karl-Axel Arvidsson klättrar upp i den 30 meter höga fyren. Den byggdes av Verner von Heidenstams far och under decennier har fyrens väldiga ljuskäglor spelat över Östersjöns svarta vatten. Långt därnere på stränderna bildar sanddynerna girlanger i strandkanten och ilskna gäss bevakar sina revir."

507 contacts with radioamateurs, lighthouses and lightships!

This year (2007) we made over 500 contact with other radioamateurs, lighthouses and lightships on SSB (phone), CW (morse) and PSK31 (digital mode) during the International Lighthouse/ Lightship Weekend.

Start of activity

The start of the activity for 2007 lighthouse weekend will be around 0900 z Saturday 18 August. We will be active on all open bands on HF with SSB, PSK31 and CW.

We would like other lighthouse/ship to mail us for scheds on sandhammaren@niklasson.se ! Also other non lighthouses/ships are welcome for scheds.

We will try to keep this blogg updated with photographs and activity logs during the activity. More info soon .....
